A 25 year-old Regina female and a 37 year-old Regina male made court appearances earlier this week on a number of fraud and theft charges. The two were arrested at the end of last week and went to court Monday, June 19, 2017.
On June 16, 2017, at 1:15 p.m., police attended to the 200 block of North Westpointe Estate. Officers had information that a male, who was wanted on a Canada-Wide Warrant, was at this location. The male and a female were located in a vehicle driven by another male. The male suspect fled from the vehicle and a short foot pursuit ensued. The male suspect was taken into custody without incident. A female, who was also arrestable on numerous charges, stayed in the vehicle, however, she was non-compliant and a fight ensued. The officer gained control of the situation and arrested the female suspect. The officer was injured in the fight and was taken to hospital for treatment of her injuries.
Twenty-five year-old Brittany Irene CREVIER (DOB: 1992/04/05), of Regina, is charged with:
• Assault a Peace Officer [Sec 270(1)(A), CC];
• Resist Arrest [Sec 129(A), CC];
• Two charges of Fail to Comply with Recognizance [Sec 145(3), CC];
• Four charges of Fraud Under $5000 [Sec 380(1)(B), CC];
• Theft Under $5000 [Sec 334(B), CC];
• Two charges of Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Over $5000 [Sec 355(A), CC];
• Seven charges of Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5000 [Sec 355(B), CC].
Thirty-seven year-old Tyler Curtis GURSKEY (DOB: 1979/07/21), of Regina, is charged with:
• Fraud Under $5000 [Sec 380(1)(B), CC];
• Theft Under $5000 [Sec 334(B), CC];
• Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Over $5000 [Sec 355(A), CC].
CREVIER and GURSKEY made their first appearances in Provincial Court on these charges on Monday, June 19, 2017, at 9:30 a.m.
