On May 16, 2017, at approximately 4:45 p.m., police located an occupied stolen vehicle in the 1800 block of Osler Street. Police followed and observed the vehicle, which stopped on the 600 block of College Avenue, where the female driver exited the vehicle and entered a residence. Police executed a traffic stop on the vehicle, and the passenger, a 37 year-old male, was arrested.
Police cleared the residence, but did not locate the female driver. While at this location, police received information that a suspicious person, who matched the description of the female driver, was hiding in a backyard of a nearby residence. Police successfully located the female driver, a 41 year-old female, who was subsequently arrested.
A search of the vehicle revealed a firearm and ammunition.

- Unauthorized possession of a firearm in a motor vehicle [CC 94(1)];
- Possession of firearm/ammunition contrary to prohibition order [CC 117.01(1)];
- Fail to comply [CC 733.1(1)];
- Possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000 [CC 355(B)];
Forty-one year-old Tilly Lenore WESAQUATE, of Regina, is charged with:
- Possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000 [CC 355(B)];
- Theft of motor vehicle [CC 333.1(1)];
- Possession of firearm/ammunition contrary to prohibition order [CC 117.01(1)];
- Driving while Disqualified [CC 259(4)];
- Careless use of a firearm [CC 86(1)];
- Possession of a weapon [CC 88];
- Carrying a concealed weapon [CC 90];
- Possession of a firearm knowing its possession is unauthorized [CC 92(1)];
- Unauthorized possession of a firearm in a motor vehicle [CC 94(1)];
