The Regina Police Service is asking for the public’s help in the investigation of a robbery and weapons offence that occurred on Sunday, April 30th.
At approximately 5:15 a.m. on Sunday, April 30, 2017, police were dispatched to a business in the 1700 block of East Dewdney Avenue for a report of a weapons offence and attempted robbery. The victim, a 37 year-old male, reported that he’d just pulled into the parking lot at that location when a male appeared at his driver’s side window. According to the victim, the suspect started banging on the window, demanding the keys to the vehicle. Next, the suspect smashed the vehicle window with a small black axe he was carrying and reached inside. The victim was able to push the suspect’s hand away and the suspect fled on foot. The suspect is described as male, about 5’ 8” tall, thin build, wearing a black hooded sweatshirt. The suspect had his face covered.
