Investigation into an allegation of forcible confinement has resulted in charges against three Regina males. The forcible confinement is alleged to have occurred sometime around February 24, 2017.
On April 2, 2017, Regina Police Service investigators learned of an incident in which a 22 year-old male was held against his will by other males, armed at times with a firearm and bats. This incident is said to have occurred over a period of days, on or around the 24th of February, 2017. The victim said he felt he would be killed if he attempted to leave. The victim was finally allowed to go after he acquired some money to pay a debt owed to one of the alleged suspects. It’s believed the victim and suspects are known to each other. One of these individuals: a 29 year-old male, was arrested on April 6, 2017, without incident, in the 1300 block of Garnet Street. During this arrest, police seized two sawed-off rifles (one of which was loaded), some ammunition, a quantity of methamphetamine, marihuana, scales and Canadian currency. On April 7, 2017, officers continued their investigation, culminating in the arrests of two other male suspects: ages 27 and 31.
