Four individuals were arrested and police have recovered firearms and drugs as the result of search warrants executed overnight. As a result of a police investigation in relation to drug trafficking and public safety, two search warrants under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act were executed between 3:00 and 5:00 a.m. on Friday, April 21, 2017.
The Regina Police Service Special Weapons and Tactics Team, Crisis Negotiators and Patrol members supported the operation that unfolded in the 300 block of Osler Street and the 5200 Block of Parliament Avenue. Two adult males were arrested without incident at the first location in the 300 block of Osler Street. A male and female, both adults, were arrested at the second location in the 5200 block of Parliament Avenue. Items seized in the searches include two rifles, two shotguns, ammunition (various), a quantity of marihuana, a quantity of cocaine, Canadian currency, two vehicles, and other items associated with drug trafficking (digital scales, packaging, money counter, cell phones).
The individuals in custody are: two 21 year-old males, a 22 year-old male and a 20 year-old female. Their names and charges will be made public when the investigation is concluded. Investigation is ongoing at this time; there are no further details at this time.
