Two Regina males are facing charges after an incident on Tuesday morning, involving the dangerous operation of a motor vehicle in the Rochdale Boulevard area.
On Tuesday, March 28, 2017, police were dispatched to the 3900 block of Rochdale Boulevard just after 9:00 a.m. for a report of a suspicious vehicle being driven in a reckless manner. The caller provided a description of the vehicle involved. When officers arrived, they saw a vehicle, matching the suspect vehicle description, leaving a parking lot. As officers observed the vehicle, the driver exceeded the speed limit and broke several traffic laws on a busy street and through a busy intersection. Officers patrolled the area and later located the vehicle in the 6000 block of Wellband Drive. Two males were arrested without incident. Further investigation led to charges against the male alleged to be the driver and the male passenger, who is alleged to have been in possession of a device defined as a prohibited weapon by the Criminal Code of Canada (throwing star).
Nineteen year-old Cze-Sand BANNAB, DOB: 1997-07-19, of no fixed address, is charged with: three charges of Breach of Undertaking, s. 145(3) CC and Possession of a Prohibited Weapon, s. 91(2) CC. BANNAB made his appearance on these charges in Provincial Court at 9:30 a.m. on Wednesday, March 29, 2017.
Twenty-seven year-old Keith Campbell SCHELL, DOB: 1989-11-01, of Regina is charged with:
Breach of Probation, s. 733.1(1) CC and Dangerous Operation of a Motor Vehicle, s. 249(1)(a) CC. SCHELL was released on an Officer Undertaking to appear in Provincial Court on May 3, 2017.
