On February 25, 2017 at approximately 11:30 pm Police were dispatched to a residence on the 1700 block of Connaught Street for a report of a fire.
Regina Fire and Protective Services and EMS were on scene. RFPS extinguished the fire and EMS attended to a male who was burned. The male was confirmed deceased.
The incident is the subject of a combined agency investigation; The Office of the Chief Coroner will investigate the circumstances surrounding the death of the male. Regina Fire and Protective Services will investigate to determine the cause and origin of the fire. Police will investigate any possible criminal aspect to this case.
The deceased’s name will not be released at this time as next-of-kin has not been notified.
