Police are continuing investigation into a collision in the early-morning hours of Saturday, January 21, 2017.
Police were dispatched to the area of Albert Street and 20th Avenue, at about 1:37 a.m. on Saturday, January 21, 2017. The information in the initial call indicated a vehicle had struck a tree and the driver appeared to be unconscious. When officers arrived, they noted that the vehicle had, in fact, hit some large bushes between trees. They also observed the adult male driver had been pulled from the vehicle and EMS was already there, administering emergency treatment to him. Police located another male, who was identified as the passenger in the vehicle. The passenger was arrested for intoxication in a public place and lodged in cells to be released with no charge. The driver of the vehicle was taken to hospital by EMS for undetermined injuries. The investigation into this matter is continuing with charges pending the outcome of the investigation.
