On November 27, 2016, at approximately 2:10 a.m., police observed a vehicle, reported as stolen, travelling at high speeds and driving through red lights at intersections. With the observations of other police units, the vehicle was found as it drove out of the city on gravel roads northeast and northwest of Regina, finally stopping eastbound on Township Road 184, east of Pasqua Street. Police then arrested two adult males and an adult female in the vehicle. A firearm and ammunition were also recovered from the vehicle.
Eighteen year-old Michael Ethan OBEY (DOB: 1998/05/23), of Regina, is charged with:
- Possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000 [CC 355(A)];
- Unauthorized possession of a firearm in a motor vehicle [CC 94(1)];
- Unauthorized possession of a firearm [CC 91(1)];
- Possession of a weapon [CC 88];
- Dangerous operation of a motor vehicle [CC 249(1)(A)];
- Fail to comply [137 YCJA] X 4
Twenty-one year-old Robert Darryl VEIDENHEIMER (DOB:1995/10/13), of Regina, is charged with:
- Possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000 [CC 355(A)];
- Unauthorized possession of a firearm in a motor vehicle [CC 94(1)];
- Unauthorized possession of a firearm [CC 91(1)];
- Possession of a weapon [CC 88];
Twenty year-old Megan Beatris RUNNS-PRETTYSHIELD (DOB: 1995/12/05), of Regina, is charged with:
- Possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000 [CC 355(A)];
- Unauthorized possession of a firearm in a motor vehicle [CC 94(1)];
- Unauthorized possession of a firearm [CC 91(1)];
- Possession of a weapon [CC 88];
- Fail to comply [CC 145(3)]
The three charged made their first scheduled appearance on these charges in Provincial Court this morning, Monday, November 28th, 2016, at 9:30 a.m.
