A 27 year-old male, who was arrested, on Friday night, on a warrant for evading police appeared in Provincial Court on Monday, September 19, 2016 on numerous charges. Two other individuals, arrested at the same time, also made their first court appearances.
A male who was the subject of an arrest warrant was seen, in a vehicle, leaving a residence in the 800 block of Queen Street at about 9:20 p.m. on Friday, September 16, 2016. Police were able to successfully deploy a spike belt, which eventually brought the vehicle to a stop in the 1300 block of Grace Street. A 27 year-old male ran from the vehicle and was apprehended by a canine officer and police service dog. Two other occupants of the vehicle, a 31 year-old male and a 23 year-old female, were arrested without further incident. A search of the vehicle found a loaded SKS rifle. A search of the residence in the 800 block of Queen Street yielded two sawed-off firearms, a long-barreled high-powered rifle and a replica firearm. Further investigation into the activities of these individuals resulted in numerous charges.

– Use of a Firearm During Commission of an Indictable Offence, s. 85(1)(a) CC;
– Possession of a Firearm/Prohibited Firearm, s. 96(1) CC;
– Two charges of Breach of Probation Order, s. 117.01(1) CC;
– Flight While Pursued by Peace Officer, s. 249(1)(a) CC;
– Four charges of Fail to Stop at the Scene of an Accident, s. 252(1.1) CC;
– Breach of Probation, s. 733.1(1) CC;
– Possession of Prohibited Weapon Without Registration, s. 91(1) CC; and
– Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm in a Motor Vehicle, s. 94(1)(a)(i) CC.
Thirty-one year-old Harold Joseph HANSON, DOB: 1985-07-27, of Regina is charged with:
– Possession of Stolen Property under $5000, s. 355(b) CC;
– Flight While Pursued by Peace Officer, s. 249(1)(a) CC;
– Fail to Stop at the Scene of an Accident, s. 252(1.1) CC;
– Prohibited Weapon Without Registration, s. 91(1) CC;
– Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm in a Motor Vehicle, s. 94(1)(a)(i) CC;
– Careless Use/Transport of a Firearm, s. 86(1) CC;
– Breach of Probation, s. 733.1(1) CC;
– Breach of Officer’s Undertaking, s. 145(5.1) CC;
– Carried a Concealed Weapon, s. 90; and
– Breach of Probation Order, s. 117.01(1) CC.
Twenty-three year-old Brandi Cole MOOSEMAY, DOB: 1993-05-29, of Regina, is charged with:
– Possession of Stolen Property under $5000.00, s. 355(b) CC;
– Flight While Pursued by Peace Officer, s. 249(1)(a) CC;
– Fail to Stop at the Scene of an Accident, s. 252(1.1) CC;
– Possession Prohibited Weapon Without Registration, s. 91(1) CC;
– Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm in Motor Vehicle, s. 94(1)(a)(i) CC;
– Careless Use/Transport of a Firearm, s. 86(1) CC.
All three accused made their court appearances in Provincial Court at 9:30 a.m. today, Monday, September 19, 2016.
