The Regina Police Service is investigating an assault that occurred this morning, July 19, 2016, on the 1300 block of King Street.
On July 19, 2016, at approximately 6:55 am, police were dispatched to the 1300 block of King Street for the report of an assault. The victim, a 26 year-old female, was taken to hospital with injuries deemed to be non-life threatening.
In order to ensure no threat to the public, police, or possible suspect(s), the Regina Police Service SWAT Team was called to clear the residence where the assault was alleged to have occurred. It was determined that no one was inside the house, which was deemed clear of persons and safe. A search warrant is being obtained to search the house for evidence to further the investigation.
