On June 8, 2016, at approximately 6:00 p.m. police were dispatched to the 1500 block of Garnet Street for the report of a weapons offence involving a firearm. Information was received that a male was shot outside the residence. The victim, a 31 year-old male was transported to hospital with injuries described as non life threatening.
A search warrant was obtained for the residence and ammunition was recovered. Investigation led to evidence that the ammunition belonged to the 46 year-old male, which put him in breach of court-ordered conditions.
Forty-six year-old Charles George KEY is charged with two charges of: possession of firearm or ammunition contrary to prohibition order [CC 117.01(1)].
KEY will appear in Provincial Court on these charges tomorrow, Friday, June 10, 2016 at 9:30 a.m.
