The Regina Police Service is asking the public for information that could assist in an investigation into a shooting that resulted in serious injury to a 21 year-old Regina male on Thursday, May 5, 2016.
At approximately 8:15 p.m. on Thursday, May 5, 2016, police were dispatched to hospital after a report of a male who entered the emergency department with an injury consistent with a gunshot wound. Police learned that, about ten minutes earlier, the male victim has been at a business in the 2900 block of Dewdney Avenue. It’s believed the male was outside the business when one of the occupants of a nearby vehicle shot him. The type of firearm is not known. The victim remained in hospital for treatment of his injuries. Police have collected evidence from the victim and from the business in their investigation into this incident, but at this time, the suspect and associates have not been located.
