The Regina Police Service is asking the public for information that could assist in a hit and run investigation.
At approximately 7:20 p.m. on Friday, May 20th, 2016, police were dispatched to 8th Avenue and Athol Street to investigate an accident involving a motor vehicle and two pedestrians. Police arrived at the scene and learned that, a 48 year-old female and a 4 year-old female were crossing 8th Avenue, in a marked cross walk, attempting to go to the park. A red car was travelling westbound on 8th Avenue at a high rate of speed and grazed the 4 year-old child causing minor injuries. The suspect vehicle stopped briefly and then drove away westbound on 8th Ave.
