A 38 year-old male and a 31 year-old male are facing numerous drug-related charges as the result of ongoing investigation into drug-trafficking in the City of Regina.
On March 2, 2016, the Regina Integrated Drug Enforcement Team gathered evidence relating to drug trafficking. The investigation resulted in the arrest of two Regina males when they were located exiting an establishment on Arcola Avenue. Officers seized a quantity of methamphetamine, Canadian currency and a can of bear spray.
Thirty-eight year-old Geoffrey Faron MORRIS, DOB: 1977-12-08, of Regina, is charged with:
- Traffic in Scheduled Substance (methamphetamine) [Sec 5(1), CDSA];
- Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking (methamphetamine) [Sec 5(2) CDSA];
- Possession of Property Obtained by Crime under $5,000 (Canadian currency) [Sec 355(b) CC];
- Possession of a Weapon [Sec 88, CC].
Thirty-one year-old James Gregory QUEWEZANCE, DOB: 1984-04-26, of Regina, is charged with:
- Traffic in Scheduled Substance (methamphetamine) [Sec 5(1), CDSA];
- Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking (methamphetamine) [Sec 5(2) CDSA];
- Possession of Property Obtained by Crime under $5,000 (Canadian currency) [Sec 355(b) CC];
- Possession of a Weapon [Sec 88, CC].
Both accused made their first court appearance on these charges in Provincial Court at 9:30 a.m. on Thursday, March 03, 2016.
