On October 24th, 2015, at approximately 8:44 a.m. police were dispatched to a reported weapons offence in the area of Labelle Place. The victim, a 54 year-old Regina male, attended to the address where a 24 year-old Regina male resided. An altercation between the two males occurred, resulting in the 54 year-old male being threatened by the resident with a weapon known as a stun baton (this is not the same type of weapon as a police issued CEW). Police attended and located the 24 year-old male in his house, and observed marihuana in plain view. The 24 year-old male was arrested. A Controlled Drug and Substances Act search warrant was obtained and executed. Police located the stun baton and approximately 175 grams of marihuana in the search.
Twenty-four year old Brandon Mitchell, LAPPA-PICKARD (DOB: 1991/08/30), of Regina, is charged with:
• Assault with a Weapon [267(A) CC]
• Unauthorized Possession of a Prohibited or Restricted Weapon [91(2) CC]
• Possession of a Scheduled Substance (marihuana) [CDSA 4(1)]
LAPPA-PICKARD is scheduled to make his first appearance in Provincial Court on December 16th, 2015, at 9:30 a.m.
