A 36 year-old male and a 42 year-old female, both of Regina are facing numerous drugs and weapons charges as the result of execution of a Criminal Code search warrant yesterday (Friday, September 4, 2015).
As the result of investigation into drug trafficking in the City of Regina, members of the Regina Integrated Drug Enforcement Street Team obtained a search warrant for a residence in the 1900 block of Rae Street. With the help of patrol members, the warrant was executed in the late afternoon/early evening of Friday September 4, 2015. Two people were located inside the residence and arrested. The following were seized in the search:
• An SKS semi-automatic Assault rifle;
• A .22 calibre rifle;
• 348 rounds of ammunition (for SKS rifle);
• Morphine and items associated to illegal sales of morphine;
• Three stolen bottles of prescription medicine;
• A small amount of Cocaine; and
• A quantity of Canadian currency.
The two individuals arrested in the residence were subsequently charged.
Thirty-six year-old Tommy Donovan DYKES, DOB: 1979-07-19, of Regina, is facing a total of eleven charges:
• Three charges of Possession of Stolen Property, section 355(b) CC;
• Possession of Cocaine, section 4(1) CDSA;
• Possession of the Proceeds of Crime (currency), section 355(b) CC;
• Two charges of Unsafe Storage of a Firearm, section 86(1) CC;
• Two charges of Possession of a Firearm While Prohibited, 117.01(1) CC;
• Possession of Ammunition While Prohibited, section 117.01(1) CC;
• Possession of Morphine for the Purpose of Trafficking, section 5(2) CDSA
Forty-two year old Rita Lyn MOHRBUTTER, DOB: 1972-12-18, of Regina, is facing a total of nine charges:
• Three charges of Possession of Stolen Property, section 355(b) CC;
• Possession of Cocaine, section 4(1) CDSA;
• Possession of Morphine for the Purpose of Trafficking, section 5(2) CDSA
• Two charges of Unsafe Storage of a Firearm, section 86(1) CC;
• Two charges of Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm, section 91(1) CC.
Both DYKES and MOHRBUTTER have been remanded and will make their first court appearance on these charges in Provincial Court at 9:30 a.m. on Tuesday, September 8, 2015.
