On August 6th, 2015 at approximately 8:22 a.m., police were dispatched to Dewdney Avenue and Athol Street for the report of a motor vehicle collision between two vehicles.
A white SUV was driving eastbound on Dewdney Avenue when a truck with a driver and three passengers drove westbound on Dewdney Avenue and veered into the eastbound lane. Three in the truck fled the scene of the incident, leaving a male passenger behind with injuries. EMS attended the remaining male and he was sent to hospital with injuries not believed to be life-threatening.
The driver and the passenger of the SUV were treated by EMS and the driver was sent to hospital with minor injuries.
Investigation led to the arrest of a 25 year-old male, who was charged.
Twenty-five year-old Justin James PAPEQUASH (DOB:1990/04/14), of Regina, is charged with Failure to Stop at Scene of Accident [252(1) CT] and Driving While Impaired [253(1) CT].
PAPEQUASH makes his court appearance on these charges in Provincial Court on August 27th, 2015 at 9:30 a.m.
