The Regina Police Service Special Weapons and Tactics Team (SWAT) will be conducting regular quarterly training in Regina tomorrow (Wednesday, June 10th, 2015) and wishes to advise the public of the location involved so as not to cause any unnecessary alarm.
From approximately 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. the team will be practicing on the 1100 block of Robinson St. – with the permission of the owners of the properties.
Anyone in the area will notice police vehicles, which may include a large Tactical Armoured Vehicle, or TAV, as well as police members in SWAT uniform. All of the necessary safety checks have been performed on equipment and there is no live ammunition involved in this training. Other than the sight of police officers training at these locations, there should be no disruption to the usual everyday activity and traffic flow in the area.
