Seven people are facing numerous drug and weapons charges as the result of drug searches, carried out at two Regina residences, on Friday evening, June 5, 2015. As the result of an ongoing investigation, the Regina Integrated Drug Enforcement Street Team (RIDEST) obtained search warrants for the two properties in the 400 block of King Street and the 1000 block of Horace Street. Members of the Special Weapons and Tactics Team (SWAT), Crisis Negotiators and Patrol assembled to execute the warrants and gain entry into the residences. The involvement of the Emergency Services teams (SWAT and Negotiators) was the result of risk assessment and the possibility of weapons.
The first search, in the 1000 block of Horace Street was carried out at approximately 9:48 p.m. on June 5, 2015. One male and two females were arrested at the house and the search yielded a quantity of methamphetamine, a quantity of unknown pills (sent for analysis), a replica firearm and paraphernalia associated to drug trafficking. All three individuals were charged as the result of this investigation.
Twenty-nine year-old Kevin Aaron EVANS, DOB: 1985-10-12, and 27 year-old Amanda Lynn SOERENSON, DOB: 1988-04-12, both of Regina, are charged with Possession of a Scheduled Substance (methamphetamine) [4(1) CDSA]. They were released on an Undertaking to appear in court again on July 21, 2015.
Twenty-two year-old Molly Marie HOEVING, DOB: 1993-05-16, of Regina is charged with Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking (methamphetamine) [5(2) CDSA] and Possession of a Scheduled Substance (cocaine) [4(1) CDSA]. HOEVING appeared in Provincial Court this morning, Monday, June 8, 2015, at 9:30 a.m.
The second search took place at approximately 10:40 p.m., June 5, 2015, in the 400 block of King Street. In all, eight people were taken into custody at the residence (six of these were later released with no charges); two more were arrested as they were leaving the residence in a car. As a result of the investigation, four persons were charged. The search of the residence yielded a quantity of cocaine, two replica firearms, a quantity of knives and swords, ammunition, some cash and paraphernalia associated to drug trafficking.
Fifty-nine year-old Ronald George GREAVES, DOB: 1955-06-26, of Regina, is charged with Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking (cocaine) [5(2) CDSA]; and Possession of Property Obtained by Crime under $5,000 [355(b) CC].
Fifty year-old Allan James DACKOW, DOB: 1965-02-19, of Regina, is charged with Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking (cocaine) [5(2) CDSA]; Possession of Property Obtained by Crime under $5,000 [355(b) CC]; and two charges of Possession of a Firearm or Ammunition Contrary to Order [117.01(1) CC]. In addition, as the result of a separate investigation into an incident between February 28th -March 24, 2015, DACKOW is charged with Uttering Death Threats [264.1(1)(a) CC].
Twenty year-old Samantha Kaitlyn PERIGNY, DOB: 1994-08-03, of Regina, is charged with Possession of a Scheduled Substance (cocaine) [4(1) CDSA] and Possession of a Scheduled Substance (marihuana) [4(1) CDSA].
Twenty-three year-old Matthew Gordon YOUNG, DOB: 1991-12-13, of Regina, is charged with Possession of a Scheduled Substance (cocaine) [4(1) CDSA] and Possession of a Scheduled Substance (marihuana) [4(1) CDSA].
These four accused made their initial court appearances in Provincial Court at 9:30 a.m. today, Monday June 8, 2015.
