The Regina Police Service is advising the public of an event that occurred at about 4:20 p.m. yesterday, Thursday, May 21, 2015 on 4th Avenue on the south side of Grassick Playground. This event is of sufficient concern that Police want to make the public aware of this event and ask for any information that could help in the investigation.
At about 4:20 p.m., Thursday, May 21, 2015, a 10 year-old girl was walking west-bound on 4th Avenue, just south of Grassick Playground. A male was walking east-bound towards her. As the female victim walked past the male, she felt some contact on her buttocks, described by other children who were present, as a “spank on the bum”. The male ran away and there was no verbal exchange or further contact. The girl reported this event to her parents and grandparent, who contacted police. A search of the area failed to locate anyone matching the description of the suspect. The male suspect is described as Aboriginal, about 30 years old, average build, black hair and black moustache, wearing grey sweatpants and a black t-shirt. Police continued to patrol the area, but the suspect was not located.
