Three males have been charged following investigation into a street robbery that occurred last night, Wednesday, April 29, 2015, in the 1700 block of McIntyre Street. Police are still looking for a fourth, female suspect.
At approximately 11:35 p.m. on Wednesday, April 29, 2015, police were dispatched to the 1700 block of McIntyre Street for a report of a robbery. The victim: a 24 year-old female, reported that she had just been robbed by three males and a female. The victim was pushed to the ground in the process but, fortunately, was not seriously hurt. Some cash and other possessions were stolen from her. The victim was able to describe her assailants and police located three males matching the suspect descriptions a short time later, walking eastbound on 11th Avenue. The males were taken into custody without incident and, upon further investigation, were charged. The female suspect has not been located. The investigation is ongoing.
Two of the accused are 15 years old and, as youths, cannot be named in accordance with the provisions of the Youth Criminal Justice Act. Both are facing charges of Robbery with Violence [343(b) CC] and Fail to Comply with Conditions [137 YCJA]. Both accused made their first court appearance on these charges in Youth Court today at 2:00 p.m.
Twenty-two year-old Marky Carmen Pierre NILGHE, DOB: 1992-12-11, of Regina, is charged with Robbery with Violence [343(b) CC] and two counts of Breach of Probation [733.1(1) CC]. NILGHE made his first court appearance on these charges I Provincial Court at 2:00 p.m. today, Thursday, April 30, 2015.
