The Regina Police Service Major Crimes and Forensic Identification units are currently investigating an apparent shooting incident in North East Regina this morning.
Police were called to a house in the 300 block of Cornwall Street North at 6:09 a.m. today, Thursday, March 19, 2015, for a report of an injured male. When police and EMS arrived they located one male victim, who had sustained serious injuries. A second male victim was located, a short time later, a few blocks away. Both males were taken to hospital by EMS. Police patrol members are maintaining a perimeter at a residence in the 300 block of Cornwall Street North, as well as a secondary scene at the corner of Albert Street and 9th Avenue North. Though it is very early in this investigation, police believe that there is no further threat to public safety from this incident. Investigators are in the process of identifying everyone involved in this incident and have yet to determine the roles of each participant. This investigation is ongoing.
