The Regina Police Service is asking for information from the public that may assist in an investigation into a weapons offence. In this incident, a window of a house in the 1100 block of Montague Street was shot at and broken by an unknown projectile, possibly a BB or a small-calibre bullet.
Police were dispatched to the 1100 block of Montague Street at 2:55 a.m. on Sunday, December 7, 2014 for a report of a weapons offence. The occupants of the house reported hearing a shot that broke the window of a room in the upper north-east corner of the house. The complainant also stated that there was a small blue car, parked in the alley behind the house, which left after the shot was fired. Officers searched the area but were not able to locate a vehicle matching the description given or any suspects. A number of people in the residence were spoken to by police, but there is little information to describe possible suspects. The investigating officers examined the window and it appears an object broke through the window but the officers were not able to recover any projectile at the scene. Members of the Forensic Identification unit are continuing this part of the investigation today. No one was injured in this incident.
Anyone who has information that could assist police is asked to contact the Regina Police Service at 306-777-6500 or call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477. This investigation is continuing.
