As a result of further investigation into an alleged counterfeiting operation that was the subject of a previous news release, nine additional charges have been laid.
After a lengthy investigation into the counterfeiting of U.S. bank notes, on Monday, September 22, 2014 at approximately 5:00pm, Regina Police Service Commercial Crime Unit and the RCMP Economic Crime Unit executed a Search Warrant at a residence in the 800 block King Street. As a result of the search, police seized numerous items, including counterfeit U.S. bank notes and equipment that can be used to counterfeit paper currency.
Police also seized drugs, drug paraphernalia, drug equipment and weapons. Weapons consisted of a crossbow, throwing knives and two stun guns.
Charges were reported on a prior news release issued Wednesday, September 24, 2014. As a result of further investigation police have added the following nine charges:
Jason Alvin URSULAN, DOB: 07/07/1978
- S.4(1) CDSA possession of cocaine
- S. 4(1) CDSA possession of cannabis marihuana
- S. 4(1) CDSA possession of methamphetamine
- S. 4(1) CDSA possession of psilocybin (magic mushrooms)
- 5(2) CDSA possession for the purpose of trafficking cocaine.
Melissa Ann Heather PATTERSON, DOB: 08/25/1988
- S.4(1) CDSA possession of cocaine
- S. 4(1) CDSA possession of cannabis marihuana
- S. 4(1) CDSA possession of methamphetamine
- S. 4(1) CDSA possession of psilocybin (magic mushrooms)
URSULAN and PATTERSON will appear in court today, Monday, September 29, 2014 at 2:00 p.m.
