The Regina Police Service is investigating an aggravated assault that happened early Wednesday morning in Regina and is asking anyone with information in to the case to contact police.
Patrol members were dispatched to the 3600 block of Sherwood Drive at about 2:00 a.m. early this morning (Wednesday, August 13, 2014) for a report of an assault in progress. The initial calls indicated that three male victims were being assaulted by persons as yet unknown to police. When officers arrived they found a 35 year-old male victim who had suffered injuries consistent with a physical assault. He was transported to hospital by EMS. Another victim, a 20 year-old male was found in the area; it appears he was bear-sprayed; he was treated at the scene and released into the care of a friend. And a third male victim had left the scene. He was later located; he is a 19 year-old male who was taken to hospital this afternoon for treatment of injuries consistent with an assault.
