A Regina male faces charges after an armed robbery on early Sunday morning. The same individual also faces a number of other charges in relation to an earlier incident of evading police.
On Sunday, July 13, 2014 shortly at approximately 1:38 a.m. police were dispatched to the 2100 block of Pasqua Street for a robbery. When police arrived the complainant stated that he and a friend were approached by a lone male with a knife telling them to give him money. After the complainant and friend handed over their money the suspect then got into a silver compact car heading southbound. A description of the vehicle was taken by police. At approximately 2:22 a.m. police travelling in an unmarked vehicle located the described vehicle travelling eastbound on 13th Avenue travelling at a high rate of speed with vehicle lights turned off. Police surveilled from a distance until the vehicle evaded. At approximately 4:10 a.m. police located the described vehicle parked at a yard on the 2000 block of Arthur Street. The vehicle was seized. An area check led to 11th Avenue and Empress Street, where a male was observed emerging from under the bridge just west of the intersection. Police arrested the male.
Subsequent investigation led to charges in connection with this robbery as well as the following incident:
