The Regina Police Service is asking for information from the public that may help an investigation into a weapons incident in which a male sustained gunshot wounds.
Police were dispatched to hospital at about 12:20 p.m. on Friday, June 6, 2014, for a report of a 51 year-old male who had come into the hospital with apparent gunshot wounds. While the male was being treated for his injuries, police officers made attempts to ascertain his identity and the circumstances that led to his injuries. Those efforts have produced some results; police now know the man’s identity and have checked two apartment residences associated to him to make sure there were no other injured persons at those locations. There was no one at either apartment. Investigators still need more information to determine what happened and who is responsible for the male’s injuries.
Anyone with information is encouraged to contact the Regina Police Service at 306-777-6500 or call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477. This investigation is ongoing.
