Investigation has determined that there is no known criminal aspect to the case of the death of an adult male, who was found yesterday morning in the 3100 block of 6th Avenue. The investigation of the circumstances of this death continues, led by the Office of the Chief Coroner. The Regina Police Service will continue to assist the Coroner as required.
Police were dispatched just after 10:16 a.m. on Monday, March 10, 2014, to the 3100 block of 6th Avenue for a report of a male, without a shirt or jacket, lying, motionless, in the alley. Police and EMS attended and located a male, who was confirmed deceased by EMS. As indicated, the investigation does not indicate that this man’s death is the result of a criminal act. The death investigation will continue, led by the Office of the Chief Coroner and assisted, as required, by police. The man’s identity has been confirmed and his family has been notified of his death. He is a 23 year-old Regina male; however, his name will not be released by police.
