The Regina Police Service wishes to advise the public of possible traffic delays this morning between 10:00 a.m. and approximately 11:30 a.m. as a planned walk proceeds from the 1100 block of Angus Street to Victoria Park downtown.
The walk is called “One More Is Too Many; Walking to Keep Women Safe” and it is organized by Regina Treaty and Status Indian Services or RT/SIS. The public is invited to participate in this walk to demonstrate our community’s desire to stop violence against women. The procession will begin at the Creeland Gas bar at 1101 Angus Street and will make its way south on Albert Street and then east on Victoria Avenue to Victoria park and then to City Hall. Motorists are encouraged to consider a route other than the aforementioned parade route and both motorists and pedestrians are asked to follow the directions of Police officers who will be present to enhance the safety of all participants.
The Regina Police Service thanks the public and the media for their co-operation in this matter.
