The Regina Police Service, in conjunction with the Office of the Chief Coroner, is conducting a death investigation after the discovery of the body of a deceased adult male at a house in the 1300 block of Grey Street on Friday, October 19, 2012.
At approximately 4:32 p.m. today (October 19th), police received a call from a resident on the 1300 block of Grey Street expressing concern for a neighbour who hadn’t been seen for several days. Police went to 1368 Grey Street and, after initial attempts to make contact with the resident were unsuccessful, discovered the body of a deceased male inside the house. Officers secured the house and requested additional resources, including Forensic Identification, Major Crimes and the Coroner. The deceased person has been identified; however, his name will not be released at this time. Police are contacting the deceased man’s next-of-kin to make notification of his death.
At this early stage in this investigation, police are treating this as a suspicious death until more is known about the circumstances. Police are holding the scene at 1368 Grey Street, pending further investigation.
