The Regina Police Service is asking the public for information that could lead to identifying and locating a suspect in a possible sexual assault which occurred in downtown Regina on Friday, September 21, 2012.
At approximately 12:35 p.m., police were dispatched to the 1800 block of 11th Avenue for a report of a possible sexual assault. The complainant, a 21 year-old female, reported that she was walking with a 24 year-old female and her three year-old son near the intersection at 11th Avenue and Broad Street, when they became aware of a tall male walking behind them. At one point, the child fell a step or two behind the adult women and when they turned, they saw the tall male touching the child in the genital area, over his clothing. The women yelled at the male and grabbed the boy. The male ran eastbound on 11th Avenue and the women reported the incident to police.
Police did a thorough area search and did not locate the suspect. He is described as male with very dark skin, approximately 6’ 3” tall; with very short black hair, wearing a grey striped shirt and grey dress pants.
