A 16 year-old male has been charged with three counts of Mischief, following investigation into an incident, just after midnight, in which several windows were broken at a school on Massey Road. Damage to a vehicle window and house window are believed to be part of the same event.
On Friday, August 10, 2012, at about 12:15 a.m., police were dispatched to the 100 block of Massey Road for a report of some youths breaking windows at a nearby school. The complainant reported hearing the sound of glass breaking and seeing three or four young males leaving the area. Police arrived and upon conducting further investigation, arrested a 16 year-old male. Police also spoke with a 17 year-old and a 20 year-old male, but there are no charges against either of these individuals at this time.
The 16 year-old male, who cannot be named in accordance with the provisions of the Youth Criminal Justice Act, is charged with three charges of Mischief Under $5,000 [430(4) CC], as well as two Breaches of court ordered conditions [137 YCJA]. The 16 year-old appeared in Youth Court this morning, Friday, August 10, 2012, at 9:30 a.m.
