The Regina Police Service wishes to make the public aware of an incident involving a suspicious person which occurred July 18th, 2012 at approximately 1pm.
A 6 year old boy was riding his bike on Broad St North in the area of Imperial School when he was approached by a male in a vehicle. The male told the boy that his mom was looking for him and that he had been sent to pick up the boy and bring him home. The male got out of the car and put the boy and his bike inside and drove around. At the man’s prompting, the boy pointed out where he lived and the man let him out and drove away.
The male is described as Caucasian, 40-60 years old, 5’10-6’ with short black hair and glasses. He has scars on his forehead and neck which could be acne scars. The car is described as a silver or grey 4 door car similar to a Cavalier or a Sunfire. Inside the car were a vacuum cleaner and a duffle bag. The male stated he was a cleaner to the child.

Now is a good time to remind parents to tell their children who can and can’t pick them up from school activities or even play time in the park. Establishing a family password given out only to trusted members of the family or trusted friends is a good way to ensure that only people you have approved can pick your child up.
