The Regina Police Service, in conjunction with the Office of the Chief Coroner, is investigating the sudden, suspicious death of a 39 year-old male, whose body was discovered in an apartment residence in the 2800 block of 5th Avenue, last night.
At approximately 8:17 p.m., on Tuesday, June 26, 2012, police were dispatched to an apartment in the 2800 block of 5th Avenue for a report of a possible deceased male. Police and EMS arrived and located a 39 year-old male; EMS confirmed that the male was deceased. Police secured the scene and requested the Coroner as well as additional police resources to begin investigation into this death. The deceased person has been identified but his name will not be released at this time. His next-of-kin have been notified. At this time, the death is being treated as a suspicious death. The Coroner has ordered an autopsy to determine cause and manner of death.
