An 18 year-old male has been charged in relation to two armed robberies and one attempt armed robbery that occurred on January 24, 2012.
The three events are as follows:
- At 2:30 a.m., on Tuesday, the 24th, police responded to an attempt robbery at a service station in the 1900 block of Fleet Street. In this case, the clerk on duty was able to lock the doors before two suspicious males, wearing dark clothing, were able to enter the premises.
- At about 2:37 a.m. on Tuesday, the 24th, police were called to a convenience store in the 1700 block of Dewdney Avenue East for a robbery. Two males entered the store, one carrying a long-barrelled weapon. The two demanded and received cash and product and fled the store. The suspects were described as wearing black or dark clothing and both had their faces covered. The employee was not physically harmed.
- At 3:43 a.m. on Tuesday, January 24th, police were called to a convenience store in the 4200 block ofAlbert Street for another robbery. In this case, three males entered the store, one carrying a long-barrelled firearm. The employee was struck by one of the suspects. The suspects took cash and product and fled the store. All three suspects had their faces covered and were described as wearing dark clothing. The victim was taken to hospital with non life-threatening injuries.
Joshua Christopher SHORE (DOB: 1994/01/06), of Montreal Lake, SK, is charged with Robbery [343(a) CC] two counts of Robbery w/Offensive Weapon [343(d) CC], Obstruct Peace Officer [129(A) CC], Poss Stolen Property under $5000.00 [355(b) CC], two counts of Pointing of firearm [87 CC], three counts of Possess weapon for dangerous purpose [88 CC], three counts of Disguise with intent [351(2) CC] and Unauthorized possession of firearm. [91(1) CC]. SHORE made his first court appearance on Monday, January 30, 2012 at 9:30 am.
