The Regina Police Service is investigating a sudden death after the discovery, Sunday, September 4, 2011, of a deceased adult male in the 1600 block ofToronto Street.
At approximately 12:09 p.m. on Sunday, September 4, 2011, police received a call reporting that there was an unknown male, lying motionless in a back yard in the 1600 block ofToronto Street. Information received suggested that the caller believed the male may be deceased. Police and EMS attended and confirmed discovery of a deceased adult male. A Coroner was requested, along with investigators from the Forensic Identification and Major Crimes sections. The scene was secured by patrol members.
At this early stage in the investigation, it is not clear how the male died. His identity has been confirmed, but police have not yet completed notification of his next-of-kin. The deceased is a 43 year-old Regina male. The Regina Police Service will work in conjunction with the Office of the Chief Coroner to determine the circumstances of this man’s death.
