The Regina Police Service has charged a 30 year-old male with two robberies in connection with overnight incidents. In an unrelated event, police have also charged a 38 year-old male in connection with a break and enter.
The robberies are alleged to have occurred around 12:30 a.m. on Tuesday, September 13, 2011, in the 1100 block of Kramer Boulevard. It’s alleged a male approached a 21 year-old male outside a business and attempted to rob him of his wallet. The victim refused and the male suspect then approached another male, a 20 year-old and made the same demand for money. It’s alleged the suspect assaulted each of the victims. Police arrived and located a 30 year-old male, matching the description of the suspect, in the area. Further investigation led to charges in connection with these incidents. Thirty year-old Richard Stephen MOSSIP, DOB: 1981-08-14, of Regina, is facing two charges of Robbery Causing Bodily Harm with Intent to Steal [343(c) CC].
In the other incident: at about 1:54 a.m. on Tuesday, September 13, 2011, police were dispatched to a break and enter in progress in the 2100 block of Rose Street. Preliminary investigation indicated a male had broken into a garage, removed property and fled on foot. Police located a 38 year-old male, matching the suspect description, a short distance away. Further investigation led to charges against this individual. Thirty-eight year-old Martin Dane McBRIDE, DOB: 1973-11-06, of Regina, is charged with Break and Enter [348(1)(b) CC] and Possession of Stolen Property under $5000 [355(b)(i) CC].
Both accused will make their first court appearances in Provincial Court on Tuesday, September 13, 2011 at 2:00 p.m.
