The Regina Police Service is conducting a homicide investigating after the death of a young Regina male on Friday evening, December 3, 2010, in the area of the 1100 block of Montague Street.
At 9:39 p.m. on Friday, December 3, 2010, police received a call requesting police and EMS to the 1100 block of Montague Street for an injured person. At that location, police found a young male who had suffered serious injuries. Police and EMS performed emergency CPR and the male was taken to hospital, but was pronounced deceased at 10:25 p.m. The deceased victim is a 16 year-old Regina male, but his identity will not be released. There were also two other males injured, but their injuries were described as not life-threatening. At this time, police are investigating any connection between the deceased male and the other two injured persons.
Police secured the area where the victim was found as well as two secondary areas in order to preserve potential evidence. Several people were taken into custody and/or interviewed by police, but at this time there are no details as to who may be accused or charges that may result.
