A 27 year-old Regina male, who was the subject of a Saskatchewan-wide warrant of arrest for Attempted Murder and a number of firearms-related charges, has been arrested.
The charges stem from an incident on August 7, 2010 in Regina. Police were dispatched at about 9:04 p.m. that evening, to the area of 1st Avenue North and Rose Street after receiving a number of calls about possible shots fired. Police attended and found that a house in the 500 block of Rose Street had had a patio door shattered in what was believed to be a shooting. Preliminary investigation indicated a vehicle drew up to the residence and it is alleged the occupant of the vehicle discharged a firearm in the direction of the house. No one inside the house was injured. Further investigation led to charges against a 27 year-old male and the request for a warrant of arrest. This individual was the target of a search warrant executed by RCMP this morning at a residence on the Pasqua First Nation. The accused was arrested, without incident, at approximately 4:15 p.m. today at a residence in the 1500 block of Retallack Street.
